Guorong Ding, as Director General of the Facilities and Administration Services Department, oversees corporate procurement, facilities management, administrative services, records and information management, as well as security and emergency services. Prior to joining AIIB in 2025, he served as Executive Vice President (Co-Chief Investment Officer role) at the Silk Road Fund Co., Ltd (SRF), where he played a key role in strategic decision-making, risk management, corporate operations, and governance. Ding chaired the Pension Scheme Committee and Procurement Committee at SRF. He has extensive experience leading major securities companies in China and was responsible for overseeing corporate governance structures, developing and implementing performance assessment systems, among others. He is also a part-time professor at several prestigious universities, including Fudan University, Hehai University, and Shanghai International Studies University. Ding holds a PhD in Economics from Xi'an Jiaotong University, an MPhil in Development Studies from University of Cambridge, and both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Economics from Fudan University. Ding is from the People’s Republic of China.
